F.A.Q. for Ministry Leaders
Q: Why Grandparents?
A: Because intentional Christian grandparenting matters! We believe that investing in ministry with children means investing in equipping parents to nurture faith and that includes grandparents! Grandparents are the second most influential people, after parents in the lives of kids and we want to equip you with simple resources that will strengthen grandparents in their role to spiritually nurture the faith lives of their kids and grandkids.
Q: What does it cost?
A: It all depends on how you might want to customise the resource for your community! If you follow just the basic resource here you will need to purchase some kind of box/container to put the materials in, a package of microwave popcorn, lip balm, a jar/container to collect gratitude cards and the cost of printing the resources.
Q: Do I have to create this exactly as described?
A: No! You can create it exactly as is or customise it in any way that makes sense for the grandparents in your church!
Q: Do I have to put it in a memory box?
A: You do not have to use a memory box. We used a memory box for our example because it creates the idea of creating intentional memories together, but you can use any type of box, container or bag that makes sense for your community.
Q: What is the age range for this resource?
A: This resource has been created to be used intergenerationally. The ideas are geared towards grandkids under the age of 11, however a lot of it can be used and adapted with any age. For more ideas to use with teenage and older grandkids contact Tanya.
This is a great idea. These resources will be helpful to us. At Aylmer Baptist Church we are launching 4Gen Sundays starting Sept 25th.
Four Generations gathering together on the 4th Sunday of each month, with a focus on being intergenerational, interactive and informal.
So glad this is helpful! Love the 4 Generation Sundays! Can’t wait to hear more about them!
