Advent is a great time of year to offer opportunities and resources for families to engage in meaningful ways in faith formation. We are pleased to offer these resources and suggestions to you.

This 2017 Advent Activity Devotional for Kids has been designed for children to use. It contains devotions for each of the themes of hope, love, joy and peace as well as a variety of activities, colouring pages and reflection questions. It is a pdf downloadable booklet to be printed on 8.5 by 11 inch paper and folded in half. This will be best for children who are able to read, approximately 6 years and older.

This Nativity Story Sensory Box  is a great way to tell the story of Jesus birth to toddlers/preschoolers. It is very easy to put together and uses items you may already have at home. Little ones can touch and play with the different elements of the story as they learn about the birth of Jesus.

This Family Advent Devotions booklet was originally created by Mount Hamilton Baptist Church. It is a pdf downloadable booklet to be printed on 8.5 by 11 inch paper and folded in half. This would be particularly good for families with younger children.

This is a 1 page Family Advent Calendar with Scriptures, conversation starters and activities for families to do together.

An Illustrated Advent for Families. This fantastic resource contains simple but meaningful devotions for families to do throughout Advent as well as colouring pages, and Advent Wreath activity and an Advent Calendar. This is a pdf downloadable resource that families can purchase individually or churches can purchase the license to print a bulk quantity.

Jesse Tree Advent Calendars are a great way to move through Advent. The daily readings help tell the story of the Bible from Creation to the birth of Jesus. Each day there is an ornament to hang up with a symbol that represents the reading of the day.
