Faith Families

Effective ministry to the whole family includes intentional development of communities of faith families.  Author Timothy Paul Jones defines family ministry as ministry that “(1) prepares parents to function as primary faith influence(rs) in their children’s lives and (2) equips the entire community of faith to care for spiritual orphans.”

A family ministry focus in a church is incomplete if it does not equip both parents and other members to reach those families already within the church and those not yet a part of the church with the gospel.

Read this article about reaching families to learn more of what this means and practical ways you can be more intentional in equipping the entire community of faith to care for spiritual orphans.
